We are going to have our annual mid-year closure slightly earlier than last year because Chef Belotti is participating in a TV program aimed in inspiring young chefs in the bay area, who are interested in adding the knowledge of using Italian ingredients in their repertoire. Chef Belotti will be mentoring local chefs at the end of April, and one of the talented young chefs will be chosen by our Italian sponsor to attend the final TV filming episode in Milan at the end of May. We are very excited about such opportunity to inspire the young and introduce them to the beauty of Italian cooking. That being said, Chef Belotti will have to excuse himself from the restaurant for a little bit, and the rest of the Belotti crew will also take a short break in the mean time 5/26/18-6/7/18.
Upon our return from break, Belotti Ristorante will also have a change in hours of operation starting 6/9/18, Saturday. First, we will now be open on Tuesdays for lunch and dinner service, but we will be closed on Sundays. We will no longer be serving brunch menu on Saturdays. Saturday daytime menu becomes our normal lunch/dinner menu with 100% of our menu available throughout the day. (pasta all day, anytime!)We want to take the chance to thank our dear customers who have supported us through all the brunch services on the weekends for the past couple of years. This is not a decision we take lightly. It is something we have been considering for a while. The whole Belotti staff takes great pleasure and pride in serving authentic Italian food to the east bay community. However, Chef Belotti’s insistence of excellence on the quality of all dishes demands his perpetual attention in the kitchen along with all the staff. As many of you know, Belotti Ristorante is very much a family-owned small business. While Chef enjoys spreading the love of Italian cooking, he also needs to ensure our staff have a little work-life balance as well. We want to thank you for your continued support and understanding. And rest assured, our food will be just as delicious as always!
