This year, Chef Michele had the chance to mentor a few young culinary students and educate them on using simple Italian ingredients and execute cooking the Italian way. They are then put to test at the Rovagnati Gran Biscotto panino contest. The winner of the contest wins a trip to Milan with Chef for the finalist competition against chosen winners from 4 other continents.
